Mía Maestro

 Mia Maestro, an Argentine actress/singer was born 19 June 1978. Her roles include Nadia Santos and Nora Martinez on The Strain, Carmen in The Twilight Saga, Marianela in For Love or Country, The Arturo and Sandoval Stories, and Christina Kahlo.


 Career and early life



 Maestro was born in Buenos Aires, 19 June 1978. Her screen debut was in Carlos Saura’s Tango. It received Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Film and Golden Globe nominations. Maestro who was trained in Argentina she traveled to Berlin to study the vocal repertoires of Kurt Weill's as well as Hanns Eisler. Her first acting role was in the stage play The Summer Trilogy by Carlo Goldoni in 1998. By that time she had secured the sought-after part of Lulu in Frank Wedekind's Pandora's Box at the San Martin Theater in her hometown of Buenos Aires. She was awarded the "Ace" Award for Best New Artist of the Year.
